Bfn gospel singer launches new album

Born and bred in Heidedal gospel artist, Gerald C Julies

Born and bred in Heidedal in Bloemfontein, gospel artist Gerald C Julies has recently released his new single “Sy goedheid duur vir altyd.” The single is now available on various online platforms such as iTunes, Apple music, Deezer, Rhapsody, YouTube and Google Play.

Julies explained to Bloemfontein Courant that he has been singing for as long as he can remember. He has been part of several gospel groups since school and organised and performed at several concerts in the greater Bloemfontein.

“Growing up in a Pentecostal Church, I had always been part of worship teams and had been singing what is known as “Pinkster” music my whole life.”

Julies’ dream has always been to write his own music and to make an Afrikaans album, something a little different. He described it as, “A sound or style of my own. Working on this project with the Heidedal born gospel group, HIS IMAGE (of which I am founder and manager) as well as my producer, Keorapetse Melamu from Melamu Studio, we have managed to create exactly that: a new sound.”

According to Julies there is no doubt that listeners can look forward to a very unique, different and new sound. “The CD is filled with exciting, new music that will speak to different types of people and to all ages.”

The CD, titled PSALM 91, will be available on 30 September 2020 and orders can be placed via WhatsApp or by contacting 079 609 7953 or 083 268 1487.
