The Bloemfontein Life Change Centre Music School will be hosting auditions on 8 February 2024, at 17 Brooks Avenue from 16:00 till 19:00.
The Bloemfontein Life Change Centre is a youth development initiative that provides services to the community of Heidedal.
The programme is coordinated by Angelique Novella, Dr Joseph Kunnuji, and Dingaan Chabalala who are assisted by a committee of parents from the community.
Auditions are open to learners nine years and older. According to Angelique Novella from the Bloemfontein Life Change Centre, no experience or instruments are needed, but booking a time slot for the auditions is essential.
“The Music School is an integral part of the centre and aligns with its aims that include fighting poverty, providing youth with a positive influence on their lives, be a carrier of hope in a hopeless world, provide the youth with leadership and mentorship programmes, and equip them with life and job-related skills.
We do this by keeping the youth off the streets in the vulnerable hours when they return home from school to when parents arrive.”
