ANC to discuss Bulwane heist involvement

The ANC in the Free State is today (Tuesday) expected to brief the media on the outcome of it’s Provincial Working Committee (PWC)’s meeting, held on Monday.

Issues regarding the involvement of the Deputy Chair, William Bulwane’s vehicle in the recent cash-in-transit heist in Bloemfontein is one issue expected to be clarified. This comes just a few days after the party distanced itself from the allegations, stating that Bulwane had taken his car for repairs following an accident in May.

ANC provincial spokesperson, Thabo Meeko, told OFM News they applaud Bulwane’s cooperation with the Hawks regarding the investigations. OFM News‘ Katleho Morapela reports that the two suspects who were arrested in connection with the heist, Thabang Mahlaba and Katiso Lepotla, are set for bail application Monday following their brief appearance at Bloemfontein Magistrate Court, yesterday.
