Alleged lovers in #MokoenaMurder to reappear in court

The two suspects at the front and centre of the murder of Bloemfontein businessman and farmer, Ntau Lucas Mokoena, will appear together before the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, August 8.

The accused 51-year-old Kelebogile Mokoena and 30-something-year-old Elvis Sonnyboy Galeboe are not only alleged to have plotted and carried out the murder but are believed to be lovers. The older of the duo is the wife of the deceased.

Galeboe, a pastor residing in the Freedom Square township, made his first appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 5. He was arrested on Friday 2 August 2019 by the police while on his way to Bloemfontein from East London in the Eastern Cape.

Mokoena abandoned her bail application on July 18, as it was revealed during her court appearances that she not only hired the hitmen, paying them partly for the murder, but she allegedly poisoned her own dogs to make it easier for the trio to gain access into the couple’s Fichardt Park home on the night of July 8. The deceased was shot in the head by the hitmen.

Police are mum on the possibility of more arrests in the matter.
