Aidon Davis to return to the Cheetahs

The Toyota Cheetahs have boosted their loose-forward department with the return of the former captain, Aidon Davis.

The former Junior Springbok has recently been playing in England at Exeter for the past two seasons, but his return will be a welcome addition to the Cheetahs loosie department.

The Cheetahs Director of Rugby said Davis is exactly the kind of player they want at the Cheetahs.

“Aidon is a man of integrity, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him back.

“His tireless work ethic and positive demeanour are assets to the team, and his wealth of experience will undoubtedly bolster our efforts.”

Davis, who previously also played in France as well, joined the Cheetahs in 2018 and went on to play in more than 50 games for the team.

Davis primally plays as an 8th-man but he is more than capable of playing at lock. He is good in the lineout and is renowned for being a big ball-carrier.

Davis will be available for the Cheetahs for the start of their Currie Cup title defence.
