Afro-pop sensation releases new single

Local Afro-pop singer and songwriter, Andy T, has just released his much-anticipated single, “Hay Suka” from his soon-to-be-released second studio album. Andy T produced the single together with Moneynyce, which previously worked with Ab Crazy on a song called For you I will. Andy T’s latest single is a mix of R&B, Afro soul and Afro-pop.

Andile ‘Andy T’ Tyhokolo hails from the rustic town of Bethulie at the south tip of the Free State province, right on the banks of the mighty Orange River.

His new single was inspired by his observations of how love is often taken for granted. “Some people love for real, other people are in it for material gain, and those who love for real end up getting hurt. Love is beautiful, let’s embrace it, love unconditionally, and stop toying with authentic emotions,” he said.

The single comes after a successful first studio album, Ubomi Bam, that was propelled by the hit single, “Undixananisa Namajita”, which received regular airplay on local and national media outlets, including Lesedi FM, Legwalagwala FM, Motsweding FM, Mhlobo Wenene FM, Radio 2000 and SAfm.

It was also featured on television as Andy T made appearances on Sunrise ETV, Morning Live on SABC2 and Mzansi Insider on SABC1.

“As hard and challenging as the process was, I thoroughly enjoyed the making of this single. I had the privilege of working with some of the most respected creatives in the industry such as Bobby Johnson (Rebirth Music).

The single is inspired by countless conversation/interaction and influence through sharing stages with S.A’s most recognized artists like Ringo Madlingozi, Jezel Brothers, Vusi Nova, Ntando, Afrotraction, Lady Zamar Bucie, Busiswa, Thebe and Dr Malinga,” he added.

“Hay Suka” featuring Moneynyce is available on all listening platforms, and audiences can look forward to the music video set to be dropped in October 2019.
