A 26-year-old Botshabelo woman found hanging

A 26-year-old woman was found hanging from the roof at her home in Botshabelo, M-Section, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Free State police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, says the woman was discovered by her husband.

“When the 32-year-old husband arrived at the house, he found the gate that leads to the house and the main entrance of the house open. After he went inside, he discovered his wife hanging from the roof with her hands and feet tied with an electric cable. Police were called to the scene and on arrival it was discovered that the wife’s vehicle was missing. They launched a manhunt.”

Kareli says police discovered the woman’s car, a Toyota Fortuner, abandoned near a river at N-Section in Botshabelo. A case of murder and theft is being investigated and no one has been arrested.  Police are pleading with anyone with information to contact their nearest police station.
