34 FS students graduate in China

34 Free State students graduated from the Hubei University of Technology in China.

Thirty four students from the Free State province recently graduated from the Hubei University of Technology in the People’s Republic of China.

The Hubei University of Technology is located in Hugong Residential Community, Shizishan, Hongshan, Wuhan, Hubei, China, and is a public multi-discipline institution specialising in engineering.

In total, 65 Bachelor’s Degrees and three Master’s Degrees were conferred to international students from various countries, and 20 students in total where awarded for outstanding performance. Twelve out of the 20 students, who come from various countries, are from the Free State.

Eight of the students received Bachelor’s Degrees in International Economy and Trade; eight in bioscience; two students in Chemical Engineering and Technology; eight in Environmental Engineering; one in Computer Science and Technology; one in Human Resources Management; two in Biotechnology; one in Marketing Management; and three in Pharmaceutical Engineering.

FS Premier, Sisi Ntombela, applauded the students. “This achievement by our students abroad emphasises the Free State Government’s passion for education and our collective desire to leave a lasting legacy that will increase the number of appropriately skilled people that will, in the future, meet the province’s demands,” said Ntombela.
