The Free State class of 2016 topped the class in style by being the only province to reach the 90 % threshold in South Africa.
Last time the province led the country was in 2013.
It must have been a very unshaky festive season for some after they had to wait a month to find out how well they did in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams just over a month ago.
Some didn’t even bat an eye overnight and found themselves going to petrol stations as early as 2:00 (am) if not earlier, in order to see their results in black and white in newspapers.
A few students gave their reaction to the results and they spoke about what they are looking forward to from here on.
