Two killed in Makwane, Qwa Qwa

There have been two murders in Makwane, a section in QwaQwa over the weekend.

According to Police spokesperson, Mmako Mophiring, the two murders are unrelated, however, investigations imply that the influence of alcohol is a common thread in both of them as in both cases the suspects and the victims were under the influence of alcohol.

The two bodies were found yesterday and while the details remain sketchy, the one male victim’s (25) body was found with fatal wounds on his body and lying on the side of the road.

No suspects have been arrested and police are still looking for the murderer.  The second victim, a 32 year old male was stabbed then rushed to a nearby hospital. It Is said that he succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The suspect for the victim who died in hospital will appear in the local magistrate’s court on 19 December 2016. However,  police are still investigating the matter.

It is suspected that the two murders happened on Reconciliation Day, however, the casualties were only reported yesterday.
