Teenagers critically injured after motorbike collision, Vanderbijlpark

Two teenagers were seriously injured when a motorbike collided with a car in Wenning Street, Vanderbijlpark, on Saturday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson, Chris Botha, says reports indicate that the car turned in front of the motorbike when the collision occurred.

“There was two teenage girls on the bike. The driver was in a very critical condition. Paramedics had to place her on a ventilator at the scene and then airlifted her through to a hospital in Gauteng for further treatment. The other patient was also critically injured. She was treated at the scene and then transported by an ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.”

Botha says the driver of the car escaped uninjured.
