ROADWORKS NOTICE: N14 detours from November

Road works are scheduled for three bridges on the N14, sections 5-7, Upington to Kuruman, from 13 to 25 November 2016.

How to travel:

If you drive on the N14 from Postmasburg, you will find the Olifantshoek turn-off and just after this turn of you will get to the next off-ramp, to your left indicating, Khumani mine and Dingleton.

This road will lead past the Khumani mine, when you pass the mine the road turns to your right at a three way stop.

Follow the road passing the Bruce mine, passing the Bruce mine you will connect with the N14 turning left to Kathu.

If you drive on the N14 from Kathu, you will come to a crossing, left you can turn onto the King mine road and to the right you will find the detour route.

The same applies, follow the direction indicators past the Bruce mine, follow the road to the three way stop turn left and follow the direction indicators past the Khumani Mine and connect with the N14 and turn right.


Please note: The normal route is 10.7 km long and takes about 6 minutes. The detour route is 14.5 km and travel distance in about 12 minutes.

The speed limit on this detour is 40 km per hour, please adhere to it.
