The ANC is very pleased with the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality’s election results, thus far.
Speaking to Bloemfontein Courant this morning during a visit to the IEC’s Free State Results Centre in Bloemfontein, ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) member Naledi Pandor, described the party’s mayoral candidate, Olly Mlamleli, as a good leader and wished her well.
“There’s a lot to be done and I have confidence that her (Mlamleli) experience in government is going to make her an excellent mayor for Mangaung. We are waiting for the rest of the results, but as I said last night, we are quietly confident the ANC is going do well in the Free State. And this morning the results that we have up to this time indicate that I was right to have that quiet confidence. We’ve done well as the ANC, I see us going up from the percentage that we are on right now. Which is 52,” she said.
