Roadworks machines, including bulldozers, road sweepers and hydroblasting machines have been kept in storage by the Mangaung Metro, gathering dust. This Friday Mangaung mayor, Olly Mlamleli, launched these machines saying that they need to be used. She also handed out 48 skills certificates to municipal workers who will be operating these machines.

Mlamleli said: “I visited all the site offices. I visited all the storerooms. I found all these new machines, brand new as they are, in storerooms waiting to be utilised. These are the issues our communities had – if there are potholes in town, we will attend to them, if there are potholes in our townships, we will attend to them.”
