Hand washing education taken to Bloemfontein

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) will take the Sanitation Campaign to Bloemfontein, where well-known celebrities such as Somizi Mhlongo will highlight the importance of washing hands on Thursday, 24 November 2016.

This Campaign which commenced in October in a bid to promote clean hygiene and inculcate a culture of handwashing with soap to prevent the spread of contagious diseases.

Mall goers are encouraged to converge at Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein to interact with Mhlongo while learning about the threat we pose to those around us by not washing hands.

DWS officials and Somizi will also demonstrate the seven global steps of hand washing and also inform about the critical times when hands should be washed with soap and running water.

The activation will take place at the mall’s food court between 14:00 and 16:00.
