Provincial Police Commissioner in the Free State, Lebeoana Tsumane, issued a stern warning to party animals during the festive season.
He said the men and women in blue are going to be everywhere and will not hesitate to arrest offenders.
Tsumane said a urban and rural safety plan for the festive season that includes foot and blue light patrols and visible policing in the air is to be rolled out until January when the matric results are released.
“Matriculants, enjoy yourself in celebrating your results, but do not overdo it. Also watch your drinks – they might be spiked. Those who are attending end-of-the-year parties do not drink and drive. You will spend the festive season behind bars if you are not behaving,” he said.
