Police have arrested four suspects aged between 28 and 38 for the possession of suspected stolen goods and burglary.
On Friday, 11 August 2017 at about 03:30 SAPS members on patrol received information about a house containing suspected stolen goods in the Estoir section. They reacted to the information and on arrival they found three suspects busy packing some of the stolen loot into the garage. The items included stolen wrist watches, drilling machinery, welding machines, expensive wooden doors and power tools.
The owner of the house was with the suspected thieves at the time and none of them could account for where they got the property. All three were taken to Navalsig Police station for possession of suspected stolen property.
While there, members received information about goods that had been sold to community members. The information led to the arrest of a female after she was found in possession of the suspected stolen wooden doors, which had already been installed.
Further information revealed that a local school had also fallen prey to the three suspects where power tools and machinery were stolen.
Parkweg Cluster Commander Major General Piet De Wet urged community members to stop buying stolen goods as by so doing, they influence criminals to break into more houses. Navalsig Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Adelina Lesholi can be contacted on 082 465 6040 or 051 507 6244 or call crime line 08600 10111.
The suspects will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court soon.
