Five killed in early morning Bethlehem crash

Five people were killed in an early morning vehicle accident in Bethlehem in the eastern Free State. Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha says paramedics were called to a scene in James van Huyssteen Drive in Bethlehem at about 1am (this morning.) on Tuesday morning.

Arriving at the scene the wreckage of a Toyota sedan vehicle and a taxi were found in the field next to the road. Five people inside the Toyota vehicle were dead and two people were found to be seriously injured in the taxi. The injured were treated and transported to a nearby hospital. The cause of the accident is not known yet and is investigated by the police.
