DA in Free State also calls for reshuffling

The DA in the Free State Legislature has called on Free State Premier Ace Magashule to go ahead and reshuffle his cabinet. This follows after Magashule did not make an announcement on a reshuffling as expected last week. The ANC in the Free State said consultations with various stakeholders are still ongoing. Magashule was expected to make an announcement after the provincial executive council meeting that took place on Friday. Expectations are that he will use the filling of the vacancy of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC to reshuffle his whole cabinet. DA MPL Roy Jankielsohn says the vacancy is the perfect excuse to get rid of Sport, Arts and Culture MEC Mathabo Leeto, Health MEC Benny Malakoane and Public Works MEC Dora Kotzee. Meanwhile former Mangaung Metro executive mayor Thabo Manyoni denied rumours that he is going to be appointed as a new member of Magashule’s cabinet – Cathy Dlodlo
