Bloem DJ Murder Suspect Makes First Appearance at Regional Court

The accused in the Thato “Dj Blueboy Bond” Booysen murder case appeared in the Regional Court in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old suspect, known as Lehlohonolo Moloele, whose case was transferred from the Magistrate’s Court to the Regional Court, appeared for the first time in the regional court today.

He appeared in court on charges of murder as per Section 51 (2), 52 (a) and 52 (b) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 105 of 1997. Moloele allegedly killed Booysen at a local pub and grill in Bochabela, Bloemfontein, on 16 October 2016.

Moloele was released on bail of R1000 on the 18th of October 2016 as it was believed by the State that he was neither a flight risk nor would he tamper with witnesses.

Moloele’s court case has been postponed until 22 February 2017 for further investigation on the ballistics.
