Navalsig police discover partially decomposed body of unidentified man


The Police at Navalsig in Bloemfontein have urged the families that have a missing person to come forward after they had discovered a partially decomposed body of unknown man in Rudolph Greyling Road in Hilton area.

The gruesome discovery was made on Sunday morning, 4 December at around 07:45 by an employee of who works at a logistics company nearby where the body was found.

The person discovered the body as they were driving past the area and corpse was found lying under a tree next to the road.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt, grey trousers and white sneakers. The deceased is estimated to be a man in his late forties.

According to preliminary investigation on the scene made it appear the deceased died of natural causes two days ago as there were no visible injuries on his body.

A post mortem will however be done to determine the cause of death.

Police have opened an inquest case and request anyone with information or any family that has reported a missing person within the past few days to contact the investigating officer, Detective Captain Thapelo Motseki, on 082 467 6348.
