Mangaung Metro Municipality’s acting city manager, Tankiso Mae, has been re-appointed for three months. This was revealed by Mangaung Mayor, Olly Mlamleli, following a special council meeting held in camera on Tuesday. The appointment of the city manager was one of two items on the agenda.
Mlamleli says she requested the council to appoint an acting city manager as the previous acting city manager’s term has come to an end. The vacancy for the position is still being advertised.
Mangaung Metro Mayor, Olly Mlamleli, explained that in the council they had discussions, after which the council agreed that advocate Mae must be appointed from today (Tuesday 20 September) until 16 December, then it will be for three months. That is the decision of the council.
